Damian Raxach has spent the past nineteen years selling homes and building community across Hervey Bay. This is who he is, and how he works.
I started in real estate in 1995, in London, straight out of the University of Westminster where I studied Criminology, Psychology and Social Sciences. I was lucky — it was a small office, and the two owners were there to support me and teach me the ropes. That is where I learned that this job is about people long before it is about property.
I was with them for a few years before being headhunted by another agent that had big plans and wanted me to be the sales manager. It was a wild ride and we ended up opening offices in Bayswater, Paddington and Portobello Road in Notting Hill Gate.
In 2003 I emigrated to Australia with my partner, Denise, and we travelled around Australia in a VW Kombi for about eighteen months before settling on Bribie Island just north of Brisbane. I worked for Harcourts until we transferred to Hervey Bay in 2007 (Denise bought a business here) and Harcourts Hervey Bay were kind enough to allow me to come and work for them, which I did for eight years.
In 2014 I finally went out on my own and here I am in 2026, still doing what I love every day. In that time, we have been married and had two kids who are both born, raised and schooled here in Hervey Bay. Thirty-one years in the job, nineteen of them on this coast.
Denise and I are heavily involved in the local school, business and sporting communities, and we volunteer our time regularly, because we believe if you want things to change, you have to get on and help. I work with The Agency, a boutique national brand built on the idea that real estate should feel personal again — fewer clients, more attention, better outcomes.
